Description
This article reports on Ben Greet's lecture on Dec. 12, 1904 at Denny Hall at the University of Washington campus. It was customary for the Been Greet Players to open their productions at universities then moving to theaters for subsequent performances. For the Seattle production of Everyman, this was inaugurated with a lecture by Ben Greet on how sensationalism and amusement were dominating American theater, at the expense of drama and morality.
