Actress Selena Royle was born in Kentucky in 1860; her birth name was Selena Fetter. She married actor and playwright Edwin Milton Royle with whom she had two daughters, Selena Royle (1904–83) who had a successful career as a stage and film actress, and Josephine Fetter Royle (1901–92).
