Description
This Barton and Wiswell Company production ran at the Seattle Theatre from July 25 to July 31, 1909. Emma Bunting was originally the leading lady but after receiving word that her mother had died, future silent film star Clara Kimball Young took over her part. Kimball Young had just wrapped up a lengthy engagement with the Pantages Players at Lois Theater and had gained some popularity in Seattle. She had just the time of the cancelled opening matinee to learn her role, and the "Seattle Times" reported that she did well.
