Description
"Mam'selle Napoleon" was a musical that ran at the Grand Opera House from March 21 to March 23, 1904. It was apparently scheduled to open on Sunday, March 20, but Anna Held, the leading lady, insisted that she did not work on Sundays. A "Seattle Times" review remarked on the popularity of the show, which it attributed to interest in Held (often calling her "The Held"); the production was a big event in Seattle, and Held's activities while in Seattle were reported by the Society writers in the "Seattle Times."
