Description
"Slaves of the Orient" was a production of the Ayelsworth Stock Company during the 1906 summer season at the Third Avenue Theatre.Running from June 2 to June 8, it was expected to draw interest as the play had not been produced before in Seattle. Theodore Kremer was said by the "Seattle Times" to have written the play. The "Seattle Times" also attempted to connect the exotic Asian setting to the Orientalism of Lord Byron's "Oriental Tales."
